There is another way to plime the engine. Plug up the exhauste stinger(the little opening where smoke comes out), then leave the glow igniter off, turn the engine over. This will push fuel up the fuel lines into the carb. BUT!!! Stop as soon as fuel reaches the carb. You should be able to see this through the fuel line. Hope that helped.
