No that will not work. Each wire has a unique purpose, its not the same as reversing leads on an electric motor.

You either need a reversing Y Harness, Hitec progammable servos and a programmer or if you have a computer radio you can usually mix dual elevators on 2 seperate channels. If you do the latter you can use the transmitter to reverse the servo then just use the mix.
