RE: Goldberg Protege assembly
Is your Dad already an RC pilot? Does he have the experience to teach you properly? Meaning, do you have a buddy box setup for the training?
If you answer no to any of the above questions, you really are biting off more than you can chew here. This is not an ordinary trainer, it is a 'second' plane, one that a person would get after he solo'ed and flew a basic trainer a while. It will be faster and less forgiving than a basic trainer. If your Dad has a buddy box and is able to teach you using that, then you are all set to go. If not, then you and your dad ought to head to a club and talk to them and solicit the aid of a qualified instructor to help you out.
Once the plane is built, you will have to have someone that is knowledgeable go over the plane to make sure it is safe and ready to fly. Again, if your Dad is capable of doing this, if he has flown RC before and is qualified to examine the plane, and qualified to train you properly, then go for it, and I offer my best wishes to you and your Dad with this.
If it flys as good as it looks, it should be a good one. RC Ken posted some information on this plane and he was very positive about it and how it performed.
Don't be afraid to PM me if you wish.
Again, good luck!!
