Welcome Irrcanada, I'm a newbie myself and just have a few flight myself. Just be patient and definately get an instructor. They will give you a lot of pointers on your first flight. Each flight you have with an instructor will give you a wealth of information you never would think of. Each flight I do, Im always learning. Even reading threads from the veterans, they seem to learn something new also. Welcome aboard!!
