I believe you'll find that the SuperVee27 is arguably the "best" beginner boat. Not as fragile as the Traxxas junk (sorry, no comparison), it outperforms them out of the box - it is as close to a real racer as you can buy; in fact they were run in sanctioned classes at this year's Electric Nationals. It comes with BL power too, no more old skool brushed stuff. They can be found new or used. You will not be disappointed.
