RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS
I am really having fun with this kit so far. After visiting a couple LHS, I decided to get on with the build and install fixed flaps for now. It will save the weight of two servos. Probably, I will find two smaller, lighter weight servos to do the flaps.
Tonight, as well as getting the receiver and battery pack in there I am installing Gold-n-Rods in place of the standard control rods. They are really slick - very little friction even around sharp bends. And lighter too.
The only caveat is that you have to cut away some of the UltraCote to get access. So, I got some to repair this and any other incidental damage that might occur down the road...
