What units used the Tiger I's in North Afrika and Italy(Sicily&mainland) Was the 501 the only one in NA?
FWIW--The 501 went into action in Tunisia in Jan '43 under von Arnim along with the 10th and 21st Pz Divisions. plus the 501st. Von Arnim surendered 9th May 1943.
According to my Book "Panzers", --there were no other Tigers used in North Africa.
Re-check your book, it's a well known fact that SPzAbt.504 1st Company arrived in Tunisia on March '43.
