Hey, you musta' been watchin' me at our last Fun Fly. I flew like I had never seen an RC before. That was some kinda' BAD!!
And Jack M., I totally trust AMA's insurance -- not a problem.
However the way Insurance costs are escalating here in TX, I would rather not have to go into my personal policies if I can avoid it. You are getting your Umbrella at about a 50% rate of what I pay USAA for mine.
$38 a year for far less restricted PRIMARY, as compared to AMA's secondary, is peanuts to what the increase would be if I hit the personal polices for a million or so.
For less than a $100 per year I get far more insurance, UMA & AMA, than commercial provides. Everything together, I could well protect the estate. Heck, I can live with that.
IMO, I am better providing for myself and increasing the buffer for AMA against a potential pay-out.
Makes sense to me.
