Help Reduce AMA's Potential Liability.

Hey, I just reduced AMA's Potential Liability by picking up another
$1,000,000 in PRIMARY Insurance.
If everyone would do this, then certainly AMA could reduce payouts and be in a much more favorable position for Insurance quotes/rates.

Having primary insurance outside of the AMA makes very good sense if you don't trust the AMA or their insurance program.
I carry a Umbrealla Liability Insurance policy with $3,000,000 limits. Cost is a little over $200 per year if your Home Owners Policy limits are $300,00.

Hey, you musta' been watchin' me at our last Fun Fly. I flew like I had never seen an RC before. That was some kinda' BAD!!
And Jack M., I totally trust AMA's insurance -- not a problem.
However the way Insurance costs are escalating here in TX, I would rather not have to go into my personal policies if I can avoid it. You are getting your Umbrella at about a 50% rate of what I pay USAA for mine.
$38 a year for far less restricted PRIMARY, as compared to AMA's secondary, is peanuts to what the increase would be if I hit the personal polices for a million or so.
For less than a $100 per year I get far more insurance, UMA & AMA, than commercial provides. Everything together, I could well protect the estate. Heck, I can live with that.
IMO, I am better providing for myself and increasing the buffer for AMA against a potential pay-out.
Makes sense to me.
