I wonder if anyone has a model configured for the HET F20 EDF? I'm about to finish one...

Thanks!

PS. Didn't fly - looked like rain out west by the field and I was lazy...
Hi, Marktur!

I posted earlier re my KeeCatEDF conversion (www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=722722). The KeeCat is slightly bigger than the Nitro 'Cat. I have a TF4000 120mm fan on it (had it for a CenuryJet BAE Hawks), but my simple mounting design can be easily adapted for the Nitro 'Cat. I'm not familair with the HET F-20 Fan. What mm diameter is it? My TF4000 currently driven by a Neu 1912-1.5Y gives max-static-thrust about 8 lbs of thrust on an all-up-weight of 10lbs; & can give 10.3 lbs with a same size/wt Neu 1912-1Y. So vertical performance is quite lively. Jim Phelps did another conversion where he just bolted an HW730 fan onto the glo engine beams mounted upside down on the stock glo engine fire-wall. His scheme might be more suited if you want to use your nitro-cat as test bed for HET fan; i.e. if it has around 7 to 8lbs static thrust.

Cheers,

Phil
