Default RE: Evolution 58GX good or bad

just a up date on the 58gx,put two 20oz. tanks of fuel through the engine on the ground, first one was at a rich setting and never went past 4000 rpms.secound one started to lean out just enough to get rid of lot of the burble, still had just a little. when at the last of the secound tank i did a WOT for just long enough to get a tach reading of 7340 on a Biela 24-8 carbon and that is with a ES carbon pipe and a DIY header kit. have not tried to properly tune the system yet.engine has a very slight lag a dead idle to WOT,might be able to tune that out either on carb or header length. but first empressions are that this engine is a BEAST with POWER! got a 26-8 Biela for it after break in and get down in the engines tourqe range. now if this engine just last a while.
have not flown the EF Yak yet due to weather, but at 17-1/2 lbs. and a 26-8 prop i will bet it won't want to land,i hope i don't have trouble with the 24-8.
ENJOY!
