All that you have suggested will work as from from the pictures you posted it's obvious that the fuel tubing is simply too long and will in fact rub against the ignition's braided HT lead. Just shorten and relocate their run if possible to avioid them touching.

Also use some method of securing the tubing at the connections otherwise they will slip off eventually. A simple fix is to use small nylon ties or better still suitable size fuel barbs are available which are soldered to the brass tubing and with the ties provide a much more secure fix.
