He is not doing a system frequency change and not changing the Tx crystal. He only needs to install the proper crystal in his Rx--and yes the new Hitec dual conversion crystal must have the exact same channel number of the Tx crystal to function!

By the way Hitec Rx's are plug and play across the entire band that the Rx is intended to be used for. For the 3600 that is inclusive of CH 11 through 60 with no tuning necessary
