Default RE: CMP P-47 SEAC

I flew it today and what a total beuty it is! The power from the Moki was very near perfect, enabling quite large loops.
When I tried the flaps on a third throttle it pitched down a little, not at all difficult to compensate, but will be mixed in the radio.
The speed envelope is rather large, when on full throttle it really moves to when you close the throttle it is solid at a very low speed.
The overall handling is not far from perfect and is very confidence-building, to say the least. The ground handling is very forgiving with no real tendencies to nose over, it tracks rather straight down the strip with a little right rudder.
I only needed to trim the elevator a few clicks down and that´s all!
The only drawback was that on landing one of the landing gears tore loose due to an almost non-existant amount of glue on the plywood plate in the wing.
I will reinforce it on both sides to make it a bit more like my other airplanes are constructed.
Thumbs up to CMP for a very nice ARF, if they only would have made the hard points for the landing gear a bit better I would have called it superb.
A few pics I took before the maiden, the flying shots were crap due to a assistant that didn´t find the zoom button.
