RE: Smoke Muffler??
Adding a tap to your existing muffler (usually closest to the cylinder for the hot spot) seems sufficient. Some wrap around pitts style mufflers have coils to preheat the oil, but you should be fine. I would tap the flange on the muffler where it mounts to the exhaust flange of the engine. The material is plenty sturdy here, and it should be plenty hot for smoke.
