Try the Astro Hog by Sig. It is a low wing plane that is both areobatic yet flies and handles like a trainer. Over the last 20 years, I have made 3 Hogs and you have the option of a trike or tail dragger set up. I have made both and was delighted with them. The Hog was my second plane and, as a relatively newcomer to the hobby, it was a very easy plane for a novice to get comfortable with.
