I have flown this plane on geared 05 Astro & it is not really all that fast. flies solid very well on 3:1 ratio or something close to that .you want to have a higher pitch to make up for the slower rpm of the gear drive . DO NOT go with low pitch props, geared. . actually Its BETTER than straight stock motor due to the larger prop. try the aileron version. it is not that touchy & much more solid in wind.the plane can handle hevier ( more MaH )packs than stock.
