RE: JR XP 8103H good enouph
I used to have 2 radios, a 9303 and a 8103. The only reason I sold the 8103 was to purchase the X9303 (2.4) when it became available. There is very few things that I have programmed into the 9303 that my 8103 would not do. Most of those things are not really that important either, the only reason that I have them programmed is because now i can, not because they are necessary.
I agree that 2.4 is the future of RC, but don't let anybody try to convince you that you need to change your radio just based on the transmitted frequency. The DX7 is based on the JR7202 which in turn was based on the 8103. I have not used a DX7, but the programming on the 7202 and the programming on the 8103 are very similar.
