Default RE: CX2 missing part question

ORIGINAL: cx2cp+

there's a scrape on the aluminum head, so its probably been crashed before - definitely check the shafts for straightness - use the guide - a laser pointer helps check the upper head to be straight and not wobbling, just shine it in the middle of the upper head and spin it up slowly

be sure to resist the urge to just go for it without checking it out first - just eats blades that way and bends shafts and doing the guide first will save you a lot of grief and money - if you can't resist, just charge the lipo, put batteries in the tx and turn it on, insert the lipo into the bird and power it up - leave it alone while the 4-in-1 posts and wait for the steady green light - then spin her up very, very slowly but don't take off until you've checked everything using the guide - if it wobbles then look at the shafts to see what's bent and check the blade tracking - good to tell what condition the bird is in anyway before using the guide

edge
Edge is spot on with his advise. As a rookie pilot I was so excited to get my cx2 the second the lipo was charged she was in the air....no checks for any kind of balance or adjustment. Lets just say my first crash was a killer. Learned in a hurry how to fix it! If I would have taken the extra ten minutes to set her up it probably would have never of crashed. I had to do an aggressive maneuver to avoid my son and because she wasn't set up right I couldn't recover and dumped it hard! Then again if it wasn't for that first hard crash I wouldn't be the repair guru I am now either
