Default CX2 missing part question

On the helicopter i just bought it appears to be missing a plastic piece, please confirm this.
It goes from the fly-bar to the upper rotor blade. On the back side you can see it but on the front it appears to be missing one. Am i correct? If so where can i get the part? Thanks.

It comes with only one, look at the manual and the pictures. I thought the same until I started looking around at pictures

When you get it, prior to any flying, first check the shafts!! If the head is that damaged, a shaft (or both) will probably be bent too.
It'll save you loads of aggrevation if you check and set everything properly before first flight. It'll give you better insights on how stuff works too.
Look here: [link]http://cx2.r-2.nl[/link] for Soloboss' setup guide!

there's a scrape on the aluminum head, so its probably been crashed before - definitely check the shafts for straightness - use the guide - a laser pointer helps check the upper head to be straight and not wobbling, just shine it in the middle of the upper head and spin it up slowly

be sure to resist the urge to just go for it without checking it out first - just eats blades that way and bends shafts and doing the guide first will save you a lot of grief and money - if you can't resist, just charge the lipo, put batteries in the tx and turn it on, insert the lipo into the bird and power it up - leave it alone while the 4-in-1 posts and wait for the steady green light - then spin her up very, very slowly but don't take off until you've checked everything using the guide - if it wobbles then look at the shafts to see what's bent and check the blade tracking - good to tell what condition the bird is in anyway before using the guide

Edge is spot on with his advise. As a rookie pilot I was so excited to get my cx2 the second the lipo was charged she was in the air....no checks for any kind of balance or adjustment. Lets just say my first crash was a killer. Learned in a hurry how to fix it! If I would have taken the extra ten minutes to set her up it probably would have never of crashed. I had to do an aggressive maneuver to avoid my son and because she wasn't set up right I couldn't recover and dumped it hard! Then again if it wasn't for that first hard crash I wouldn't be the repair guru I am now either

Cage: Yeah, I definately would make sure that thing is true and blue, and do a few flights with it before adding any of that pretty Extreme stuff, that I believe you got or are getting...That's all ya want is putting on that new canopy, and then a minute later cracking it in half...! By the looks of your top head, like the guys said, I'll bet ya a few cookies something is off...That looked like it hurt, and definately wasn't a grass crash...But we're all hear to help ya as you push through... Your going to love it Cage....I also started with a CP-Pro, and what a diff in flight between the two...A Trex w/Dx-7 will be in my paws in 7 days, so I'll also be looking forward to new frustrations...I will always love my CX2, and it will always be one of the favorites....Oh, and since you already have experience in the CP class.....You'll be zipping this little bird around, like you've had it for a year...Just do a few of the mods/tweaks to get it out of the novice settings, and you'll love it...There are limits with it, but you'll be pushing the limits with it, and the parts are so much cheaper ! Good evening to ya....... Jeff
