DuBro "Long" (they come on a tree) or the G.P. Heavy Duty (up to 2-1/2" for singles!) with inserts for various makes. On anything over 70 oz.-in. I use aluminum (Futaba makes 1" & 1.5" single arm).

And I agree about trim. The better you have it mechanically the less throw is consumed for electronic trims and endpoints.
