RE: Tiporare Anyone?
The unmuffled pipe would still be quieter than most stock mufflers. <G>
I love Chevies, Fords, Mopars and American Motors 343 & 390 CID V-8 engines. With that said, the only Ford muscle cars ever made had large block 428 and Boss 429 CID engines in them. The 427 wasn't bad either. But really, Ford never made a small block that was truly powerful. Don't forget, I like Fords too.
That little Mopar four cylinder in the Turbocharged Daytona 500 was a screamer and it even managed to stay in one piece.
Back to model airplanes. Anyone can do as they please as far as engines go, but a Tipo with a four-stroke doesn't interest me at all. Even a long stroke, two-stroke wouldn't cut it. I've got to hear prop tip noise before I'm happy with a Tipo.
