Default RE: Cox Pitts S12

Excellent Quality So Far. Couple Of Little Hick-Ups Though. Have A Quarter Size Hole In One Side Of The Horizontal ( Of Course It's On The Top Side ) And No Straps For The Haigh Tail Wheel. Allen Wrench Really Fits Tight In The 4-40 Bolts. I Have The Same Issue With The Cabane Attachment As The Goldberg Monster Pitts And The 35% Trueworthy Pitts Model 12, You Have To Cut Holes In The Covering To Install The Cabane Bolts. I Built The Trueworthy From A Kit So I Had Covering To Cut Small Dots To Iron Over The Holes. I Really Wish There Was A Small Piece Of Covering To Use To Cover The Holes On These Planes. I'm Assuming That All Model 12 / Python Pitts Have This Same Cabane Attachment. I Hate To Buy 2 Rolls Of Covering ( 1 Red & 1 Black ) Just To Cut Some 1/2" Diameter Dots From.
Other Than That, It's A Really Nice ARF. Bigger Than I Thought It Would Be. Has A Real PRESENCE When It's Setting On The Gear. I Told The Guy I'm Building It For That He Could Get A Roll Of Red AEROKOTE And I Would Recover The Horizontal But I Guess He's Got A New One On The Way So It'll Be About A Week Before I Can Install All Of The Tail Feathers. He Didn't Bring Me Anything But The Plane So I Guess I Wait Now. More Later !!!!
