RE: motor coupling u-joint /flex/solid
Flex couplings are not good with reverse. A solid coupling requires 100% perfect alignment. A u-joint can be slightly off center or even a lot off center and still work well. There is one more option, dog bone and couplers.
Your sizes should be normally stocked.
