When I started this post above it was meant to be a "JOKE" in part, but also was to make a "point".I know a lot of guys on here get very serious about detail and accuracy about their tanks. Also realize many have knowlege about the history and historical facts about these tanks and try very hard to duplicate their tanks accordingly.(sorry my spelling is not great, you will get the point)And also understand how much skill some of you have and how much work goes into getting the detail that you achieve. This forum is full of fantasic models that have been done by various members.
I understand and even injoy most of it,I do read most of the posts here on the forum. This forum " I THINK" was meant to show your stuff and share different ideas and offer help to others who might want to enter into this hobby. We are all into this at different levels
and a lot of latitude should be allowed to keep the hobby and the forum active.
Getting to my point(not trying to write a book).I know the heading is (TANK FORUM) and I kind of pushed past that a little by adding
other military vehicles that I thought would kind of fall into this catagory just because I was adding tracks.Didn't think anyone would really get upset over that and its just one post on a page of many.(guess I will have to rethink that Idea)Thought It might be of interest to some and not really interfear with the main topic of the forum. Was all just being done for fun and no technical accuracy
intended.
I think it would be nice to consider the following==When someone is Posting thier build as such, not asking Questions(example==What do you think about this, should i do this or should i do that,do you like it,what color do you think i should paint it,ect, ect)Read it or leave it.If you see something that may be helpfull and it can be suggested in a nice way,go for it.
But don't inter-ject a bunch of negative stuff in the middle of someone's post for the simple reason that someone who is really interested in the project has to read through all this crap everytime when they are following the build. If you just can't stand it,at least add your comments at the end of the build.Or better yet start your own post and show everyone how you would have done it.
If its not your cup of tea, stay out of it.The people who are interested in it don't really care if you don't like it.( This is what I have the most trouble understanding, what are you in there for in the first place)
To close this out hope some will remember,WORLD WAR II has been over for more than 62 years now. Most of the people who were building, running, and working with these tanks are mostly dead.Historical correctness for your tank will probbly never be questioned
by your neighbor next door, your safe.I think you could paint your tank PINK and there would be only a thousand people or less in the entire world who would know that was the wrong color choice. But your problem is most of them seem to be here on the RC FORUM------Reguards to all------BIGMIG
