Man, I was going to get a walkera for the price, but I read so many forums about its performance that I decided to wait 2 months!!!! to fly helis just to save some bucks more and get the right thing, I don't regret. T-rex is awesome, "solid as a rock" and a really cool design. Then I thought about getting a plastic version and then upgrading while I crash, but then I decided to wait longer and save more money until I could get the SE, as I wrote above, I don't regret, crashing doesn't cost much and I have crashed 14 times aproximately, I don't think you will be as bad as I am, I mastered the crash thing, hehe. Now I am way more better and my last crash was 20 flights ago (before that my record was 10 flights, ) You will love it, you gotta sacrifice some things in order to get a good thing, right????? Something very important are the electronics just as HELIACTION said, get HS65, GY401. For the batteries, I'll give you a tip but you don't have to follow it, some guys in this forum probably wouldn't.

For batteries and charger, I went to www.unitedhobbies.com and I got cheap Lipos (not famous brandname) for about 30dlls. and a good charger for 30dlls. Shipping is pretty cheap. I have had maybe 50 flights and no problem with the batteries, I guess they are not as good as the EVOS or any other brand, but if you are just starting, they will work just fine, I have 3 cheap batt packs (you will never have enough lipos, don.t worry about that) and I am satisfied with them, when I get at the point of flying inverted or 3d, then I won.t trust them, I'll buy a good recommended brand, but for now, they work just fine for me, and I paid for 1 batt and 1 charger what a normal lipo costs (or less).
