Default I got the SHAKES?!

Has anyone ever been flying, doing OK, then a puff of wind (when you not expecting it), your heli gets a mind of its own? You try and compensate to the left, to the right, now your getting the shakes (not a good sign). Neighbor's are watching your heli swirl in circles above at 30-50 ft, one notices your leg shaking, "you OK, Rick?" No problem I got this, (the heli was sliding backwards in a large counter-clockwise circle)[X(], added some forward & left cyclic, that stopped the backwards slide, but a gust comes from behind me and next thing I know I flying forward at MACH 1 [X(] (right towards the house)!

It kinda went like "oh S--t, oh s--t, oh s--t, this is gonna leave a mark, SPLAT!" [:@]

Caught the side of the house (cement/asbestos tiles) at about 10', damage is not too bad, plastic blade grip, canopy split near bottom, flybar bent. I straightened out the flybar, fixed the busted blade grip (glad I kept those on), and taped the canopy back together, gave it a test flight in the kitchen, all is OK, but I'm still a little twitchy. I think the shakes were cause by the large Dunkin Donuts coffee this morning before flying, or maybe the crowd of neighbors watching did it.
I know I'm not going back out today (the wind has picked up again), plus I need to switch to "unleaded" beverages for a while.
Is 10:30 too early for that first beer, nah, just preping myself for the NE PATRIOTS vs COLTS game this afternoon.

GO PATS!!

Rick
