I have the same plane, with a DA 50. Balanced it @ 6" per the plans and it was massively tail heavy and nearly re-kitted. Checked DP website, where he now recommends 5" balance point. Flies perfectly a shade back of 5". BTW, I hung it inverted for balancing, by mounting a small ply plate betweent the 2 bottom stringers.
