Default RE: Green Loctite question

Sleeve retainer works perfectly for those who have problems keeping muffler bolts on the glows. We've gone over that quite a bit in other forums. Regular threadlockers are not that great when used around heat. Many use loctite and even certain types of Permatex and when it gets hot, it liquifies and the bolt comes out. Just because the temp rating on the stuff may say it should work, sometimes it doesn't. That sleeve/bearing retainer works. I had a pair of bolts on my Jett 90 muffler that came out after to flights for months and a screwd around with al of it until a guy recommended the sleeve retainer. Has not come out in two years.
