HPI made the rear diffs less stiff than the front so this maybe be the cause. Are the front wheels seem like they are even engaging, or do they just barely spin? If you want to open up the front diffs you can get some thinner diff oil to put in there, which would help it to spin easier. If you doesn't work try to take it in to your LHS and maybe you can figure it out.
