Weight should not be an issue, my Cub was built per the plans with a one piece wing. It is a bit of a pain to transport but not that big of an issue. I am flying mine with a Magnum 120 and it is a perfect match for power in my opinion. The plane is rock steady and looks superb in the air. I added Robart gear and covered the plane is Sig Coverall and painted with Latex. My plane is 3 years old now and looks as good as ever. With all the extra details I added the plane still came out under 14lbs.
