Default RE: DL-50 engine

CB36,

The engine will be fine in the sportster....just remember you have a throttle stick You'll probably need taller landing gear for prop clearance. Your concerns about the 32, and applications for it down the road is showing that you are thinking straight about your engine investment. Although the DL50 might require more cowl cutting to make work, and you'll have to watch that left stick...you'll have an engine that can be used an a large number of aircraft down the road. Honestly, the Super Sportster is built pretty tough...moreso than many of the planes that this 50 is being installed on with success.
