So did I but with a 3oz tailwheel I still needed the weight. Mind you, with the DL-50 in it it really didn't make a difference to the airplane's performance!!!
Al, 3 oz on the tail requires almost 9 oz on the firewall to balance. Is there any way you could delete some mass in the tail to enable you to remove the 11 oz lead?
If it flies the way you want as it is this doesn't matter...
