I went on to make the finals at the NATS in Masters and was approached by Marcelo Columbo the designer and we talked about the canopy, and he proceeded to ask me why I hadnt called to get a replacement, I told him I did, and told him the story, and then he said, no, we can take care of that...I asked why his distributor had said that, and he couldnt give me an answer..I told him no thanks and that I'd never deal with CA again.

I flew a friends Eclipse last weekend. It was a kit version and unfortunately came out too heavy, but still flies very nicely.
Arch, you mentioned that your complaint was with Marcelo's distributor . . Surely CAModel can't be held responsible for what a so called "distributor" says. WOW, we have a couple of Hobby Shops here that I wouldn't deal with because of my experiences with their handling of a JR product in one instance and an Eflite product the other . . I certainly wouldn't hold JR or Eflite responsible and still buy the products today.
Did you try to ring CAModel direct?
