Default Club Combat in West Tennessee

The forum doesn't seem to be too active lately, so I thought I'd post some pictures from our club combat the last few weeks.

Our club is located in Jackson, TN. http://www.wtrcf.org

We have guys that fly everything from scale to pattern, 3d to helicopters, and about 7 or 8 guys that fly combat, including a couple of guys that are just getting into it in the last week or two. If you're interested in flying some combat with us just shoot me an e-mail or come out to the field on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. We fly SSC but we're not picky about the rules so anything with a .15 on it's fine.

Here are a few combat pics from the last couple weeks from our club's website.

Jimmy closing in on Danny.

I think the one on the left is Tim, not sure who's on the right. Several guys have yellow wings.

Rick, one of our club's newer combat pilots, is flying the red plane still with it's streamer.

This is everyone headed out to the runway before starting. Nick is flying a delta plane, but I don't know the name of it.

Jimmy had a mid-air. When he hit the ground the rubber bands holding the wing on snapped. A dozen rubber bands and he'll be back in the air.

Rick's plane

Very close to being a mid-air!! I'm flying the pink plane. Yes, that's Econokote's color "Circus Pink." [8D]

Some tight "fur-ball" action. This is what you see a lot of if you go to a sanctioned contest where there are usually 7 or 8 planes in the air at a time.

Jimmy's just about to cut Rick's streamer in this shot.

Jimmy and I had a mid-air which resulted in us having to land out in the field.

I think Tim was the winner that day.

Like I said, come on out and fly with us. We're about 1 mile from the Passmore Lane interchange on hwy 45-Bypass. There's a map available on http://www.wtrcf.org as well.

See ya at the field!

Alex

P.S.
I'm not used to uploading pictures to this forum - wasn't sure how the "attachements" were going to work. How can I add captions to the attachments so I don't have to insert the full size pics above? - Thanks!
