I put trailing link struts on my flash and drilled out the original 6 mm pins so they are now 6.3mm (0.250")... I have not had to do any retract maintenance including replacing broken pins since doing this and I only have access to grass fields! the original straight struts put a big load on your main gear units... try changing to trailing link types!!!!!
