(Ref 8mm holes I presume thy are Behotec type) The trunions are not man enough, 7mm is the maximum you can drill out, The wall of the trunion will be come to thin when drilled out to 8mm and thy will spread if not split after a few landings ...
Actually, I drilled mine out to 8mm and I have not had any problems with them. They have not split after at least twenty flights on grass. In fact, I was flying off grass, hit a big bump, and the strut rotated 45 degrees (I hadn't tightened the set screws enough). It pulled the wheel right off the axle and it skidded on the hub for about 50 feet before stopping (on grass, remember). In spite of that stress, the trunion with the 8mm hole held up fine...
