Thanks.. Engine-wise, I have some thinking to do.. I mean, I have a brand new Mach 427 with pipe, filter, clutch, starter, etc... sitting in a box right here. Plus a Picco 28 for the LST2.. I really do kind of suspect that this rig would rip with the Mach..
But yeah, not as much as with the OS...
We'll see how work goes over the next couple of months..
These kinds of dilemmas are what makes winter fun....
(well, in this weather, "fun" is being generous...)
ps I tell you what though. I paid €145 for the Mach and included stuff. If I could get that back, I would pay the difference for the OS...
The idea of having to pay €100 for a starter-box and bats though bugs me....
Will a stock P3 28 with an 086 give me ANY top end?? I'm not all that set on putting the Picco in the LST2, so putting it in the Hyper or selling it or well within the realm of possibility....
with a short header on the 086 the Picco 28 actualy has a very strong top end... Not quite as much as a Ninja 28 or a OS 28, but definitely stronger then mills like a Spec 3 and STS 30 or Werk's 28....... When you run the Picco you'll definitely apreciate how good the motor is... header length makes a big difference in that mills top end, with a long header the motor loses alot of RPM...... So to really see what a P3 has you really need the short header... the best dyno runs were from a Novarossi short conical V header and a 9886 pipe..with that pipe and header the P3's top end falls just short of a Ninja 28...
