Hello everyone. Cant believe I searched for a plane and found a fresh thread! Seems like discussions I find are always years old. I have destroyed my favorite (Sr. Tele) and have had this Robinhood 80 in the attic for about 25 years. I guess its time to fly her!

I did not build this plane but it is well built and I am going over her to get her ready to maiden.
I will try to provide input as well as ask for advise here.
On the firewall discussion, interesting, mine is at 5.5 inches.
I have a few questions also...
Earlier in the thread yall spoke of sheeting in the CS and glassing that section for aerobatic purposes. As I have no plans or anything, would someone expound on that? My wing has 11.5 inches of sheeting in the center but no glass under the covering. Is that wide enough on the sheeting? How nessessary is the glassing? Is that nessessary WITHOUT wing struts? My wing has twin blocks outboard for mounting struts and I intended to use them. I do not have any struts for it so I will have to fabricate them. There used to be (25yrs ago) strut material available but I cant seem to locate any now, which brings about my most important question.
What are your ideas on the best way to construct functional struts?
Wing holdown. Mine has one center bolt in the front of the CS. Maybe with the struts its enough? Just doesnt seem right to me on a plane this large...Your thoughts?
Thanks...good to be here....Shane
PS....Its a Maloney 125
