Yeah. Slope combat, as in gliders. It is my understanding that instead of trying to cut the ribbons you are actually trying to ground each others plane to score a 'kill'. One of the biggest differences is that in most cases you are flying parallel to each other. You have to fly a certain pattern to maintain lift along the slope, so in many cases the collisions are not as violent. That being said, I have also read that a slope glider holds the world record for the fastest RC plane and clocked in over 300mph. Unconfirmed. However, the ability to fly on windy days when it kind of sucks flying regular models is intriguing, and you would have less money invested since you don't have an engine, fuel tank, or throttle servo. I'm going to look into it at least.
