Default Flight characterists / Canopy

Thanks all for your input. I just received a reply to an e-mail I sent to Jerry Bates:

"The problems experienced by the full size SB2C (Son of A ***** 2nd Class) were due to the airplane being over weight (high wing loading) and underpowered at low speed. The model does not exhibit these conditions. In fact, it is ultra stable at all speeds and exhibits superior low speed handling capabilities. With flaps and gear down, the ailerons are effective all the way to touch down.

The canopy female mold is finished. All I need do is have the time to pour the urethane vacuum forming tool and send it off to Lanier R/C. Hope to do that within a month."

I had hoped that this was the case.....no doubts left here. By the way, what did you think of the Hell Diver at the Toledo Show? Myself, I thought the guy (sorry don't remember his name) did an excellent job. Of course, now I really looking forward to building one of my own.

Later,

Mike
