RE: Quadra Question
Awesome, guys. The prop is in the box with the huge spinner and all of the nuts and bolts to put it together. It is a 24 X 10 4 bladed prop. Each prop gets bolted onto a hub. It is going to be a balancing nightmare. A guy at our club said that it is worth 100 - 200 bucks. I wasn't planning on running it on a test stand I would have to construct something to run the byro drive too or have to take the whole thing apart. I do have the cut away directions for that in the box but no operating instructions. Can you hook up a kill switch to this motor? In the basic instructions, It says to hook up the sparkplug and let her rip! How do you shut it off? I have been bitten by a spark plug boot in the past and it doesn't feel too good. Years ago, in our agriculture class we were taking a small engines class, and our ag teacher was explaining how the magneto worked on a lawn mower motor and he got shocked bigtime in front of the whole class!!!!!!! Very funny!!!!!!! He was dancing all around and I thought he was going to pee is pants!!!!!!![sm=cry_smile.gif]
I am self employed and I took about 15 minutes off to experiment with paint and chrome monocoat to cover the thing and that was a sucess. Where do you guys think that I should put this building thread????
