I think the Tower Hobbies .40 Uproar is an excellent 2nd plane. It is stable and with the throws turned down can be mild and with the throws cranked up can really burn holes in the sky. The thick wing lets you slow down almost like a trainer for super smooth landings. Its own sale now for less than $40.00 bucks.
