I am going to concurr with mscic. The Goldberg Tiger 2 was my first plane built from kit and it was a very good choice. It is also a good first plane to learn how to cover as well. The instructions were very good as well. I would recommend the Super Sportster for maybe your third plane. Some do okay with it for their second plane, but it does move out pretty quickly. I had an OS 46FX in my Tiger 2 and it was a very good match for the plane and the stall characteristics were very good and it was very easy to take off and land.
