Yep, pretty much that way. I cover the bottom first and iron around the ailerons then cut at each corner so I can pull it down. I start with my ailerons with A lot of deflection because you can loose some due to the thickness of the covering. I use the flat blade in my trim iron and work the covering down into the gap then back over the aileron. I have even used one big sheet of covering and covered the top and bottom with it that way. I just iron down the LE first then cover the bottom then the top.
I always hinge before covering so it hides the wood pin I put through the hinges. There is A photo of that in this months AMA mag. I use cut off tooth picks for that. Never had A hinge pull out.
