Not sure if I'm understanding your question, but the Bell Ranger kit I ordered does have an open tail end.

However, the airwolf kit doesn't. But I'm sure it could be modified to fit. As far as moving mechanics around the fuse, I guess it could be done as long at the swash will still fit the opening.

I have never done a scale heli kit so don't know much about them. Hence my original question
