Anybody know if it is possible to place Quick mechanics in a scale kit like the airwolf from Century??
I would like to upgrade to OS 46 then put a scale kit on the Quick.
THanks

i would like to know the answer as well. i'm a newbie, but from what i've read the Q30 is close to the TSK dimensions. Century says the TSK30 into a 109, 222, airwolf, twinstar, and long ranger are perfect matches.
try calling Quick in PA for a confirm.

I called HHI in Coopersburg. They didn't have an answer about their machines fitting other canopies.
I even emailed Century trying to get specs, but they said they didn't have any 30 size airwolf's around to measure distance between main and tail shafts. Said they were all at some show.
Nice!

HHI would not likely know what fuselages fit what, nor should they really. but they would likely know how closely the TSK 30 matches the Q30.
different question to get the same required answer. :-)
let me know how it goes,

I have to order new belt drive for tail, so if I remember I'll ask.
I did order a century Bell Ranger kit for my Quick 30. It seems like it'll be more forgiving.
I also got a used X-cell to fit into a airwolf kit. Century says the X-cells are direct fit. The X-cell has a 25" tailboom, vs. my Quick has a .26" boom. So..... seems without mods the Quick won't fit.

tailboom length perfection seems to matter more if the tail end of fuselage is closed off, but a robinson typw would be okee dokey. couldn't you shift the entire heli 1" forward without negative side effects?

Not sure if I'm understanding your question, but the Bell Ranger kit I ordered does have an open tail end.
However, the airwolf kit doesn't. But I'm sure it could be modified to fit. As far as moving mechanics around the fuse, I guess it could be done as long at the swash will still fit the opening.
I have never done a scale heli kit so don't know much about them. Hence my original question

i don't know scale either, but pulling answers outta my butt seems to work for me most of the time.
the fuselages are so lightweight that i can't imagine there would be any terrible inbalance caused by moving the mechanics forward a tad. but if there was too much inbalance, just stick something like a spare flybar weight in the rear to compensate.

LOL, yep, same here. I'm just gonna wing it with the Bell Ranger Kit. Of course Century says their kit is back ordered, so who knows when I'll get it.
I'll leave the airwolf kit for the X-cell .46 I just bought (listed below) Century says it'll fit their kit.
