My suggestion with the Perry pumps is to mount them away from the vibration of the engine. Your pump will last longer if it is mounted to the side of the airframe or directly to the firewall. I had some pre-mature failures with the pumps attached the backplate screw of the large 2-cycles. FWIW - don't mount it directly off of the engine.
