Hard to beat the sticks. They are classics for good reason. A sweet and Low stick is simple to make from any stick kit, just turn the fuse over. You will have to shape the fuse for the wings but the incidences will not change as a stick by definition has a 0 degree motor mounting and elevator decalage. These don't chang when inverted! It is easy to do. this would give you something a little different and a taildragger as well because the low stick variant has to have the landing gear in front of the wing.
