Default RE: DL-50 engine

Read the warning about seconds on Bob's website. I know the factory doesn't officially sell them but that wouldn't stop a few enterprizing employees from trying to make a buck.

BEWARE of new "dealers"...

There are a couple of individuals / companies (VVRC), that are now pretending to be DL engine dealers, and even saying they have "new" engines, implying they have "new generation" engines. They are NOT; they are buying their engines from Chinese resellers and NOT from the factory, and they DO NOT; their engines are the old style with the smaller size crankcase mounting tabs. Their engines will not have the same factory warranty support that DLUSA engines do, nor will they have the same pre-shipment quality control inspection / correction processes applied to them. DL engines are serialized and are warranted to the original purchaser. If you buy a reseller engine, you are buying a "used" engine for warranty purposes. If you buy a "used" engine, make sure you pay a used price. The factory is aware of the situation and will close down their supply so they will soon no longer have access to engines either. DL chooses their dealers in a manner similar to how other manufacturers do, and for the same reasons. As with other manufacturers, they don't want just anyone acting as a dealer. Just because someone might want to, they can't for example, just start selling Chevrolets as if they were a dealer.
